We spend a wonderful couple of weeks here in the Summer. Jeju is a truly beautiful tropical paradise and the GoldOne Hotel a hidden jewel in the south of the island, near to Seogwipo.

Highlights included:

- the distinctive architecture - this really is a Golden building inside and out which matched our holiday mood;

- the peacefulness, with stunning views over the sea to the south of Jeju, including two islands;

- the jacuzzi/bath on the balcony of our (spacious and impeccably maintained) room, which enabled us to unwind while enjoying that view;

- the breakfast buffet selection, including the croffle maker (which I see another guest has featured!);

- the heated swimming pool, which has its benefits even on a summer evening, and would be perfect in the autumn / winter;

- my children (15, 13, 10) also loved the games rooms, and the signposted Secret Garden walk, as well as the many recommendations from the reception staff for activities and places to visit in the area.

As for negatives - well we had to eventually come back to the UK!
