Beautiful views, beautiful rooms
First trip to Jeju Island! Booked a 2 bedroom at the Goldone Hotel. It was absolutely lovely. It is on the quiet side of the island, not near downtown. It's about an hour drive from the airport and probably anywhere you want to visit (like Sanseong Ilchuban) but worth it in my opinion. The staff spoke excellent English and were very accommodating. The room was well appointed and very reasonably priced and all rooms face the ocean. There is a small game room with a ping pong table and a rooftop pool and viewing area. Breakfast was included the first night and had both Western and Korean options. Bonus: steak made to order came with breakfast! There is a lovely walk down to the ocean past a small tangerine farm. It is incredibly peaceful. I stopped at one point and all I could hear was ocean waves and birds.
